Yvonne and Charles Hays

We first met (and trained) with Danny Farmer in the winter of 1980 -1981 in Monroe, Louisiana. He had recently become a professional. It was plain then that he would be very successful. Since that time he has shown himself to be one of the very best in the business. No one has titled more dogs or qualified more dogs for Nationals. Danny manages to excel and still be a pleasant, patient teacher to those lucky enough to work with him.

I've known Danny Farmer since 1982 when I was starting out. He was and still is the guy to beat. I've pre national trained with Danny for many years. His knowledge for dogs and why they do things are incredible. He is also the best handler I've ever seen. I've watched and learned alot from him throughout the years. Being around him has made me better and he has elevated the game. He is by far the winningest pro in history.

John F. Russell, Jr.

Danny Farmer has withstood the test of time. He is one of only two handlers ever to win National Opens in three different decades. He continues to be at the pinnacle of our sport.

Judy Aycock has been the premier amateur trainer of field trial retrievers for 30 years. She has been the "go to" source for information on training sought out by pros and amateurs alike for those 30 years.

Danny treats every dog as an individual. He would work on each dog's problems individually even if it took all day. Danny has never lost his temper with a dog. He sets up test to challenge his dogs' weaknesses. I love his bedside manner with an animal.

Bill Eckett, Professional Dog Trainer

Danny is a great trainer and a fierce competitor. He always gets the most out of his dogs. When we compete, I always hate to see him with even one dog in the last series.

I highly recommend Danny Farmer as a Field Trial Dog Trainer of Labrador retrievers. Danny has trained my dogs for over 20 years and has always gotten the best from each dog he has trained. He has trained seven Field Champions, and numerous other to be National Open Champion, and the Purina Award Winner for high point retriever for the year. I can unconditionally recommend him as a trainer of the highest caliber. I will always believe he is the best in the business.

"Year after year, Danny Farmer proves to be one of the premier dog trainers of our era. He truly knows dogs and can tell you what each of his dogs-in-training will do on a new setup before the dog leaves the line. With his ability to "read" dogs, coupled with his many years of handling experience, it is no mystery to us why he is the winningest trainer/handler of all time with over 200 Open wins." He also took our 3-year-old Gracie and before her 4th birthday, transformed her into an FC and a National Open Finalist(2006). Are we happy with what he has done with her? I can't imagine what more a client could possibly ask for. We just can't thank you enough, Danny."

My association with Danny began in 1980. Since then, he has trained 12 Field Champions and two National Champions for me including an all-time High Point male Derby Champion. We have had lots of fun together and I have so many fond memories the I won't soon forget. He is ultimately the very best trainer and handler in the game.

Mike Kammerer

Danny has trained my dogs for the past fifteen years, making many of them Field Champions and qualifying them for numerous National Open Championships. He has gone out of his way to be a teacher and mentor, not only to me, but to all of his clients who seek his help and expertise. After thirty years of training and teaching, he continues to perform at the very pinnacle of his profession. His record speaks for itself!

I have known Judy Aycock for over 20 years and have trained with her often in the past. Her willingness to help others and her honesty to discuss training problems and solutions is refreshing. She is articulate and thorough not only in her ability to train retrievers, but also to communicate and freely share her knowledge with anyone wanting her help.

Judy is an experienced successful amateur trainer, who has won two National Retriever events. She has trained and titled more retrievers than any other amateur retriever trainer in the United States.
